AME DTIYS

Character featured: Ame by tiramisu

This piece was drawn as a part of electric-tenshi's 1st anniversary. That website is such a treat for the eyes, you should check it out! The other submissions are also worth to have a look at.

I took this drawing as an opportunity to try something new with my artstyle. After getting a few chances to paint for a couple of other projects, I was left wondering how the combination of more painterly techniques and my regular digital drawings would look like. This illustration took a lot of time, but I like it. It's not perfect, yet it's more about the process here, isn't it?

A little bit of an experimental piece with very minor tweaks for this artstyle. I've also attempted to add a bit of unease though the composition, but I am unsure whether that was successful.

NEUROSAMA

Character featured: Neuro-sama, vtuber

(comment written in august 2025)

Although I don't watch their streams on twitch (I'm never going to make a twitch account), I really enjoy watching VODs on their youtube channel, not to mention that Neuro is actually pretty funny. Who thought AI based on twitch chat would turn out weird? Overall, I find that she is a considerable achievement for all people involved in creating her!

MEIKO MEIKO!

Character featured: MEIKO Vocaloid originally made by Yamaha Corporation and later by Crypton Future Media

Another Meiko drawing, this time I just wanted to do a regular illustration. Although in the end I've decided to reference her V3 boxart.

Please give it a listen! Sunnexo's music is simply underrated. I wish I wasn't musically illiterate so I could explain why their music is so good.

MEIKO!

Character featured: MEIKO Vocaloid originally made by Yamaha Corporation and later by Crypton Future Media

(comment written in august 2025)

Meiko is an underrated Vocaloid, she has an incredibly strong voice and awesome design. So I wanted to draw some fanart of her.

This piece is inspired by her V4 SUPER PACK design, which is very cool! But the pose in the official illustration is really lacking, thus I had an idea of drawing her in her iconic V1 packaging pose.

WORLD FUTURE STAR!

Character featured: Tsukasa Tenma from Project Sekai: Colorful Stage!

(comment written in august 2025)

This was truly a back to form piece for me. After some revisions, I added some new elements to the artstyle, which I think finalized the look of it for me (at least for the me who's writing this right now.)

As for why I drew Tsukasa? Honestly, I just promised to a friend. And considering how much they infodumped about him to me, planning the drawing was extremely easy.

RAINBOW AND RARITY HEADCANONS

Characters featured (from left to right): Rainbow Dash and Rarity from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

(comment written in august 2025)

For these two, I actually focused more on accessories. I tried making Rarity look more elegant yet casual. She's a diva, but I thought making her overdress 100% of the time would be far too unpractical, even for her own standards.

Meanwhile, Rainbow has a really out there look compared to her canon form, I'm aware, but hear me out. Although she dislikes fashion and such, despite that, I think she would wear things she would find "cool". Is this character accurate? Probably not. Is this an excuse for me to draw a character with scene inspired clothing? Pretty much.

FLUTTERSHY AND PINKIE HEADCANONS

Characters featured (from left to right): Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

(comment written in august 2025)

In the same way as for AJ and Twi, I gave them both unique body types and some fur patterns. For Fluttershy I didn't go far from her original design, besides her hair (I doubt this girl would care about her mane that much), but for pinkie I went all out with the accessories. A party pony should look more fun and colourful! I took inspiration from decora fashion for her design.

AJ AND TWILIGHT HEADCANONS

Characters featured (from left to right): Applejack and Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

(comment written in august 2025)

This is a first drawing in my series of doodles of the mane6. This was made in-between my major works in my free time. It started as just mindless doodling due to boredom, but turned into a character design practice.

At the time, it has been a long while since I've made any publicly available character design pieces, as I've been focusing more on illustration of already existing characters. Not to mention how usually I spend a lot of time planning and doing research when working on any design. So this was a very nice experience of just drawing some headcanons of established characters.

I actually recommend this as an art exercise! Taking such iconic and simple characters and just adding your own flare was not only fun, but a pretty refreshing experience. Because of the limited amount of time, I did not waste my time overthinking small details, instead focusing on the bigger picture.

Also, these doodles were enjoyable because I took a break from drawing humans.

Lastly, to focus on AJ and Twilight for a moment, for them I didn't go that far from their original designs. I gave them distinct body types and some fur patterns. For AJ I looked up some references of farm horses and for Twi I added some fancy accessories I believe would be common in Canterlot. Although Twilight is not a pony interested in fashion, I doubt some of it wouldn't rub onto her.

甘天

Another piece based on a song

甘天

モリナガハナクソ

0:00

2:35

I accidentally got it suggested when it had under 1k views. The song is such a banger and the Flipnote PV was just amazing. You should really check it out!

I listened to it on loop for a whole week, and then it blew up, so this was a sign for me to finally draw fanart.

In this drawing, I played around more with filters, which I kind of regret now (that gaussian blur was not needed here). Also, instead of my standard pencil brush, an ink pen was used. Although I believe now that my favourite binary pen would've been a better pick here.

Структура Щастя has to be one of my favourite artists, although I doubt much of non-Ukrainian listeners will be interested in her work. But if you do want some nice Ukrainian indie electro music, you should give them a listen!

This is another doodle made on a school IPad (depressing experience), but I tried giving it a low-res look, which is definitely something I'll try again in the future.

ASTRAL EXPRESS

(comment written in august 2025)

This is a redraw of the startup scream from Honkai: Star Rail.

It's been a while since I've painted anything digitally, so I just randomly decided to take a break from all the character illustrations. My depiction looks nothing like the original. I was really going for a feeling it gave me, as corny as it sounds.

LUKA FTW

Character featured: Luka from Honkai: Star Rail

(comment written in august 2025)

This drawing was singlehandedly inspired by this line of text ingame:

It really cracked me up, so I wanted to draw something relating to it. Not to mention, the event where this line came from really made me like Luka again. I believe his role as the underdog in this very mega important fighting event was done pretty well.

With this piece, I really tried making it look like a magazine cover! Which was a first for me, but pretty fun. It made me look more into the ingame text and even look up into Luofu script just to get it right.

Nothing much to add here, except for that I enjoyed playing with his silhouette thanks to his cape with those bat wings!

PHI!

Character featured: Phi, mascot of Phisnom

(comment written in august 2025)

When Phil got a new vtuber model, it was a perfect opportunity to make new fanart. I really dislike the first one I made. It aged horribly, and I believe I got better skillwise, so this was some sort of redemption arc in my mind for myself, I guess.

Phi's design is very fun! Sketching was very enjoyable and overall didn't pose any huge challenges. Figuring out how to colour the lineart for this one was also interesting, as I typically use dark lines, which obviously wasn't possible this time.

Should draw more goo monster in my free time.

MIDORI

Character featured: Midori from Your Turn to Die -Death Game by Majority-

(comment written in august 2025)

I hate this guy so damn much.

He was fun to draw, though. Like, I guess that's fair exchange for all the distress he caused me?

As you can see, unlike the other YTTD pieces, I just referenced one of his sprites. In the draft stage, I really couldn't decide on a pose, then realized that his introductory sprite is simply too iconic and perfectly represents how much of a bastard he is.

KEIJI

Character featured: Keiji Shinogi from Your Turn to Die -Death Game by Majority-

(comment written in august 2025)

Nothing much to add to this one, besides that the hair took me way longer to figure out than it should have. I really wanted to keep the crunchy, spiky, burned because of bleach look, while also making it pleasing to the eye.

OMORI

Characters featured (from left to right): Sunny, Omori, Kel, Hero and Aubrey from OMORI

(comment written in august 2025)

This piece was made as fanart for Sunny's birthday. Which was also posted more than a month later than his birthday! (How punctual!)

This project is worth describing more, because this is a mixed media piece! Featuring both 3D and 2D artwork.

The background is actually a 3D scene completely made in Blender. Everything is modelled in this low poly-esk style (I have proper knowledge on low poly and whether "proper low poly" even exists). For the cartoon shading, I used the well known toon shader setup. The outlines were made using grease pencil, some were drawn manually, like the face of the cat.

Click here for more behind the scenes magic

How the scene looks without shading and lines

Surprise, the leaves and the cat head are just placed behind the wall

The lineart was drawn from the perspective of the camera, so it doesn't look good when you look at the scene from any other angle, lol

Meanwhile, the characters in the picture are drawn in Clip Studio Paint on top. Sunny is purposefully drawn differently from the others, using a pencil-like brush and soft shading. The other guys were drawn with my favourite binary pen in a simplified chibi style.

There's also a timelapse of me suffering working on this piece available on my youtube channel.

Although this project was far above my skill level, I enjoyed working on it immensely. It was my introductory piece to grease pencil in blender, which was very fun. A single tutorial was enough for me to grasp the basics, and I cannot wait for another opportunity for a project similar to this.

HAYASAKA! THE OFFICE ONE

ANZU! THE ANXIOUS ONE

Although looking back, I'm impressed I managed to stick to one piece of media for so long!

MAI!

Character featured: Mai Tsurugi from Your Turn to Die -Death Game by Majority-

(comment written in august 2025)

This is the first piece where I started using my newly created cartoony artstyle. If you compare it to my latest work from 2025, you can see that a few changes were made but not anything fundamental (surprisingly, I got the look I wanted on almost the first try.)

SARA AND KANNA

(comment written in august 2025)

As you can see, this is not a finished piece, but a doodle. A quick one sometime after I finished the game up to date.

I'd say this drawing is one of where the main goal is just to draw my interpretation of the characters, while also making it fit my artstyle.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BASIL!

Character featured: Basil from OMORI

(comment written in august 2025)

This was a birthday fanart for Basil back in 2024, which was surprisingly published on time and not, like, a whole month later!

The piece is stylized to look like a page from Basil's photo album. The elements in the picture made to look like photo cutouts, stickers, and other decorations typical for scrap booking.

Also important to mention, that this drawing is kind of special, being a first major project after a long pause from drawing. A few new techniques are featured here too. The colour palette was preplanned, and few filters were used to make it look more harmonic. This is the first time I tried pencil-like lineart.
